Doonside residents have repeatedly been ignored by the State Government. Doonside Station’s lift installation has been continuously delayed while stations in the Northern Suburbs are being prioritised. Once again, Western Sydney misses out.
Thousands of people use the station every week. Doonside is home to hundreds of elderly people, people with disability and children under the age of 2, all of whom require extra mobility support. Greens candidate Amelia Kerridge thinks Doonside must be a priority for the government: Join Amelia in demanding that the upgrade of Doonside Station be fast tracked to occur in 2016.

To Premier Mike Baird and Transport Minister Andrew Constance,
Doonside residents have been dealing with sub standard facilities at our train station for too long.
Elderly people, people who use wheelchairs, people carrying heavy bags and parents with children are forced to negotiate lengthy flights of stairs to access the train platform.
Doonside Station is effectively unusable for many of these people.
It’s well past time you installed a lift at Doonside Station. We call on you to approve and fund this project urgently so that it can be constructed and operating in 2016. So Doonside Station can be brought up to current community standards.
